For those wondering what was in that blank speech bubble in chapter 144, MC went back and filled it in!
It's a good idea to read chapters again as MC does go back and tweak translations occasionally and fix little mistakes like repeated texts and missing text.

yup, i had these same pics in my mind...Does that mean Dio holds lispen responsible king's disappearance since the second pic points to that incident when he disappeared. Lispen is always staring away missing his beautiful king who left him alone between demons who all want him dead. well he did kill 212 peple so i don't think rood will forgive him so easily.
Well...Lispen did steal the power...so I assume he'd get the blame for the king disappearing as well?...Although...the times don't match up? Lispen stole the power more than 17 years ago...Since Lidusis was just a baby that he sealed the power in and, as you mentioned, the whole 200+ people he blew up...So did the king go missing 17+ years ago?? That would leave a bit of a gap before Rood was born and then the incident 8 years ago...So how did the king become/get stuck in Rood (possibly during the ritual)? Was he just....missing for 10 years doing nothing? xD Because Lispen made it pretty clear that he didn't know where he was. Raven where were yooouuu?? Why did you go missing?? But um...I digress xD... Is that why he's staring off?? x'D As Eryn said: "Lispen hon get your crush under control" pfff No, Rood definitely wont! He scolded Dio for even risking the lives of the students...and Lispen straight up killed people! (And could have easily killed a little baby Lidusis had Lidusis not been talented enough)...All these demons need to stop acting as if human lives mean nothing or else Rood's gonna have to kick their butts >:[ I don't think Lispen was faulted for the disappearance of their king... I think Dio would be more set on killing him if that were it. But you know, considering the Ruby and Co. know Lispen is a "traitor" to taking said power, I do wonder why he's still walking freely. Surely not just to see if he'll eventually lead them to the source? Lispen's too cunning to left to his own devices.
That time gap is troubling. >___<

That time gap is troubling. >___< I mainly said that since when Dio said "I wont make the stupid mistake of losing him again" it showed a silhouette of a Lispen-looking figure...so I was guessing that maybe Dio blamed Lispen...plus, even if the king disappeared because his power was taken...it IS indirectly Lispen's fault. Also...Dio said there was someone he wanted to kill...was that not Lispen? idk, that's where my train of thought was! Another question....Why JUST NOW would they be going after him and seeing what he wants when the power was taken so long ago? Did they not know where he was?? Maybe Lispen really is sneaky...?? Or were they just watching him pretending to be a human for awhile like "He'll show were the power is eventually "?? xD And I think Ruby might be too arrogant xD She wanted to know what he was up to...she was even HELPING him to see what was up...I think they were doing exactly that, waiting for him to lead them to the power xD Which...isn't the best plan...but once she found it she probably planned to kill Lispen and take it. So...I think they underestimate him...? yeah :/ HMMMMMM

So...I think they underestimate him...? yeah :/ HMMMMMM I remember that panel. And I see your reasoning. Aaaand now I have Lispen back on my list for the person Dio wants to kill most. xD It could be Dio isn't strong enough to fight Lispen one-on-one, or he can't kill him until the king's power is found... hmmm. I've taken into account that Dio hasn't yet come face to face with this person he wants to kill. Like maybe, say, Meredith? It's possible Meredith's had a hand in the DK's disappearance.
Arrogance, yeah, prob. But wow what a waste of time! What exactly was the purpose of Dio going to a human magician academy again? Or Elzebel investigating the Ishuella incident. Or even the magic stone auction. Or all the undercover investigations prior? xD
