After all these chapters up to the point of revelation that Lid has Demon King!Rood's original power inside his body, this has been bugging me further about this part of a past chapter. It's as if, this suddenly makes sense, but you can't believe Lid would actually be possessive of such an ability if this was so. Lid doesn't say anything about it, so, I understand that this was open for interpretation. (What troubles me more is that Lid hasn't shared anything about his past to Rood, as of this point. He really should.)
Weren't there several scenes in some of the past chapters, with Lid looking at Rood with a worried face every time Rood started thinking things to himself?
It became very apparent in episode/chapter 58. (I can't screenshot these panels at the moment. Sorry...)
In that episode, Rood started to worry about telling Lid's mother about what's been happening. Lid keeps looking at Rood as if Rood was actually saying all those thoughts out loud. Then, Rood quickly turns to him with a puzzled look on his face. Rood goes, "What?"
If Lid became a psychic, thanks to Rood's former power, then, I wonder what direction this should go? This would only solidify Rood and Lid's connection even further.
Does anyone else wonder about this? No one seems to be talking about this, whether it's here or in Disqus.

I dunno if I buy "reading his mind" per se, but you could be on to something. Lidusis is definitely the character most in tune with Rood's moods and thoughts. Still, I can think of three counter examples for straight up mind-reading: 1) Lidusis clearly had no idea what Rood was doing in the above scene. 2) When Lidusis thought Rood was leaving in chapter 56. If he could read his mind, wouldn't he have known he'd snuck off to talk with Kiel? 3) In chapter 99, Lidusis' thoughts don't match what he'd be thinking if he knew Rood just pretending to obey Kiel's order to leave. But while I don't think Lidusis can hear Rood's thoughts, there could be some kind of psychic link between them that clues Lidusis in somewhat on Rood's emotional state. It makes sense for the power stashed in Lidusis to have a connection to its previous container (Rood). Their closeness probably facilitates things, if it turns out to be true. While we're on the subject of the implications of Rood and Lidusis having the same power, what about the parallels between Rood and Lidusis when Dio was transforming? In Dio's flashback, it seems like the Demon King was happy that Dio shrunk. Perhaps the Demon King even shrunk him himself (with Dio's permission). Well, if that was one of the Demon King's powers, then maybe Rood and Lidusis were the real causes for baby dragon Dio, rather than deteriorated physical condition. I just don't think they were drawn with the exact same response ("Dio!!" *desperately stretches out hand into blue magic*) for no reason.

I agree with a lot of what you said, plus, you made some great counter-arguments. It's just that particular scene in that chapter that bugs me so much with Lid looking at Rood... I'm going to come back to this thread tomorrow (technically, today in my timezone) and give a full response. I have to sleep now. >__< But, I really do want to make a full response with my own pictures too. I have a lot to say! Also, a big welcome to our forum!

There are some people who are just really good at reading other's emotions. Lidusis being really empathetic also would play into his character very well. He always seems to care more about others than himself now that I think about it. A lot of Lidusis's internal conflict has to do with how he interprets others' feelings towards him and he seems to genuinely care very much about the well-being of his friends and peers. He's not the kind of character that would intentionally hurt someone. Although, I do bet Lidusis and Rood being friends does play into him being able to better interpret Rood's mood.

Alright, I now have some time to do a full proper response to you, Elly. ^__^ I dunno if I buy "reading his mind" per se, but you could be on to something. I definitely went overboard with the "mind reading" thing. Lid being able to be overly sense/feel/read Rood's feelings is clearly there. He's able to sense if something's not right with Rood. He's not psychic for sure. (Thank goodness.) However, I'm just impressed that Lid can "feel" Rood's concern just from staring at him like this. Especially, when Rood thought of Lid's name, which at the same time, made Lid actually look at Rood as if Rood was actually talking out loud about him. This is the only scene that was bugging me. ^^; And Rood just kept on thinking, and Lid kept looking at him like Rood was talking out loud. Lid even has a personal, "......." speech bubble as if he's taking in all these thoughts. Haha... Anyways, as mentioned before, your counter points are good. Now, your bottom parts are interesting. There definitely has to be a "power" connection between Rood and Lid. I also thought the same thoughts about Dio changing back to his little dragon form. Lid sort of did a similar hand gesture as Rood's when he was reaching out for Dio. So, I easily assumed from that scene, that the Demon King's power was at work there. If Rood can easily change (in a wishful way) Dio back to being small, so can Lid. Glad, I'm not alone on these thoughts. ^___^ naw~ I don't think thats the case....They are friends and have been together for about a month or so....reading each other's facial expressions is enough to tell what the other might be thinking (not exactly but it gives the hint whether one is concerned or depressed)....rood's facial expressions are too obvious...anyone would be able to tell that he seems to be thinking of something serious...lis was just concerned about rood seeing him this silent....Lis had been alone for a long time and had seen alot of people making different faces....telling what their intentions are or how they are feeling at the moment may not be a difficult thing for him...plus he is realy realy observant...he was able to tell that something is fishy about lispen...his intiutions are strong too....he could feel that something bad is going to happen....maybe his past made him like this...he can notice very trivial things/changes in others...
It could also just be that Lidusis is a really empathetic character. Both of you guys made good points that reinforces Elly's post. Also, yeah. Lid is truly an empathetic character. He cares greatly about his friends, so he definitely has to be very observant about everyone.
