Now that we're delving into Kiel's past, what do you guys think of the questions raised in this chapter? We've discovered that:
1) Kiel has a younger half-sibling approximately 10-15 years younger than him. 2) His younger sibling has an unknown father. 3) Their mother was acting secretive in the months preceding the birth
So what do you guys think? Is Kiel's sibling Rood, or is this all one big red herring? If he is, what does that mean for all the build up to Rood being the Demon King? If he's not, then how does Kiel's younger sibling fit into the framework of the story?

I already posted this in the latest chapter discussion, but Rood might've been born as a regular human and had the demon king sealed inside him during the ritual. Rood also could have been the demon king all along, and appeared before Kiel's mom and used his powers to convert himself into a baby inside her womb for some reason. The latter might explain why she was so secretive about the Kiel's sibling as well as the missing father. For the former, Kiel's mom may have just kept the pregnancy secret to avoid repercussions for sleeping with another man from Kiel's father and his wife. The whole younger sibling thing could also always just be something completely unrelated and just a part of Kiel's backstory, possibly even just to help explain why he took in Rood.

Well, I mentioned this on the latest chapter thread (but nobody answered to it), so: The magician that saved Master when he was bullied has very similar if not the same hair and eye color as Lispen and I find it very suspicious. My theory goes like this: a demon's human form was an actual human before the demon... became that person. So after using some kind of High Ckass Demon Only Power, the Demon King moved his consciousnesses to the child... and, yeah, since that moment the kid who was Master's brother ceased to exist and became Demon King instead. As for memory as the Demon King - he might have had it before the Tower's ritual. Also the fact that Master doesn't know who is the kids father because according to him there hasn't been anyone who visited his mother in THAT way , in my opinion, is important because, well, the child actually might have no father - like Anakin didn't literally have one, since the force itself impregnated his mother. So... magic?

I do want to add in some of my own theories/thoughts to this thread as well. Mm... But, it's getting late for me. T__T Awww...
Until we know who is Rood's father, we're all going around with a "brother" party on tow, or some other thoughts. I'll be back, thread. I'll be back! *shakes fist*

I think it is not a BIG red herring If the younger brother things is unrelated to the story... why would our beloved author wrote it? Just imagine the chapter without the pregnancy thing...It will not affect Kiel's past right? BUT I THOUGHT THE KIEL'S MOTHER'S EYES ARE GRAY(LIKE KIEL's EYES)...!!OR MY IMAGINATION OR SOMETHING??---> Attachment Deleted ....MAYBE MORE HINTS ABOUT THE DEMON KING BEING THE LOVING FATHER MAYBE HE IS THE ONE WE ARE LOOKING FOR XD Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedBUT I THINK IN THE END OF THE FLASHBACKS WE WILL KNOW ABOUT THE RITUAL. ABOUT ROOD. KIEL's GOALS.HIS BELOVED HALF-BROTHER AND ETC.

^ Well, there are siblings out there, who have huge age gaps between them that it's not even funny. So no, it's not abnormal to have older siblings 13 years older than you, for example. Anyways, my theory is....... I can't do it. ;__; Days after I last posted in this thread, I just can't think of anything else that can really be said. It's still very much dark about this flashback. It's possible that Rood's mother is Kiel's, which would make them brothers. The father is unknown, unless, Kiel's mother had a holy conception like.....the Virgin Mary!! O__o Uh................nevermind. Haha... Who would think God thought, "well, the selfless act of the Demon King deserves to come back to the world of the living. Not as a demon, but, as a human among the very creatures he sought to protect before."?? Yeah, right... Like that could possibly happen. ......... Can it? :0

Just a quick add-on here... If anyone has seen Lone Manga's version of the chapter, they said Kiel's mother had a one-night stand with a royal. Usually, Lone Manga's translation/adaptation is better than MC's, but for once, they may have made a mistake? Because now, Kiel can be a candidate for the throne! O__o Haha.... All hail, Prince Kiel? (And yes, I know nobility can be related to royalty, but generally, you would think royalty is one level higher than just being nobility.)

Hahah.... It's okay. Happens to the best of us when we read quickly. Been there plenty of times. That would be insane if Rood's mom was Master. Really would be insane. No wait... Master already acted like the adopted parent, in a way.... @__@

So... chapter 123 - CONFIRMED. Rood is Kiel's brother (looks like his personality didn't change much, tho).

^ If you mean little Rood, young Rood's personality is very different from post-Ritual!Rood. Our current Rood is mature for his age, stubborn, somewhat fearless (= arrogant/cold vibe), not so cute, in your face, and doesn't really care what others think of him until the big reveal. He only puts on a "cute innocent" face as a preface in order to fool other people. The past Rood seemed to be able to fight back a little, but he's very sensitive (crying), honest, an "idiot" as Kiel puts it --- but he's really just innocent enough to believe anything, and cute. As Kiel puts it, Rood's personality is very different from his own. Now, I feel a bit sad that the current Rood doesn't even remember Kiel is his brother or his mother. (Or the fact that he seemed very veeeery innocent. Oh my gosh. Talk about irony. He now can see other people as idiots, but he never thought of himself as someone, who believed in anything! Hahahha...) At least, the current Rood has changed a little because he now has friends close to his age. :

They don't know any better xD I think she meant that he has the same fight in him! He might be a kid who can't fight, but he is still going to try xD He wont put up with bs. xD But yeah, he grew up and got less honest and less child-like...but you can definitely see the roots of Rood's current personality in his childhood one! Even though he has no memories...I suppose personality doesn't necessarily take a 180? I believe situation has a lot to do with how people act. Rood is a magician and doesn't have a family (that he knows), so he's bound to be more serious and adult-like (especially the being a magician thing xD)
